Yelp is looking for a clever counselor to join its small but dynamic legal team supporting an established consumer internet company in its mission to connect millions of consumers with great local businessesThis role will own key portions of yelp’s commercial contracts and technology transactions practice, working closely with yelp’s tech sourcing, business development, and procurement teamsThe person in this role will also have regular exposure to other areas of the business, with the opportunity to grow and develop in areas they may be less familiar with while helping their colleagues at the same timeThis is a full-time remote role based anywhere in the united states, though we have offices across the country at your disposal if you are local to them (e.g., san francisco, new york, chicago, phoenix, washington d.c.)Yelp’s legal team currently has lawyers in the bay area, chicago, austin, seattle and southern california.

What we’re looking for:
5+ years’ experience negotiating commercial/tech contracts, big and small
Substantial exposure to and experience with data privacy & security issues
Big firm and/or boutique or in-house experience with recognized technology clients
Excellent legal and business judgment; ability to think creatively about unique issues
Rigorous devotion to detail and organization
J.dFrom a top law school with applicable bar admission in good standing
