About the job:
The pr account director serves as a liaison and primary point of contact between the client and the account teams.
The account director is responsible for:
Driving campaigns from inception to execution of overall strategy and ensuring the client voice and message is carried across all platforms.
Leveraging his or her industry/category knowledge and best practices to foster team performance, deliver results, and foresee potential issues and solutions
Public relations/marketing
Overseeing and participating in the development of pr strategies, pitches, and client creative material
Adept at creating and tailoring pr plans and pitches
Building partnerships and relationships with top-tier media contacts, influencers, and industry leaders on a local, regional, and national level
Guiding the account team to deliver integrated solutions from strategy to execution
Building, nurturing, and maintaining relationships with key media contacts and influencers on local, regional, and national levels
Cultivating new business opportunities and prospective new clients
Anticipating potential issues or challenges and exercising strong judgment in critical client situations
Evaluating and analyzing situations for the clients; presenting thoughtful and innovative solutions
Having knowledge about sprouthouse’s practice areas and industries
Social media
Working with the digital team to promote client news and media hits via sprouthouse social media platforms
Working with the digital team to implement and track social media campaigns for social media clients
Account direction & team collaboration
Ensuring overall quality of work by managing client deliverables, expectations, goals, and timelines
Inspiring, motivating, and mentoring team members while working closely with the executive team to foster strong company culture
Job requirements
About you, the candidate
A strong candidate will be:
Well-versed in all aspects of pr, from strategy and development to execution
Social media savvy with an understanding of emerging platforms and technology
Passionate about mentoring, as well as fostering, learning, and sharing among team members
Experienced at driving goals and holding team members accountable
Exceptional with written, verbal, and presentation skills
Extensively knowledgeable in current trends and industries (food, travel, hospitality, lifestyle, etc.), as well as digital and new media
Self-motivated, flexible, and adaptable to changing situations
An ideal candidate will have:
5+ years of experience in successfully managing teams and leading accounts
A balance of drive and a meticulous eye for detail
Expertise in media relationships, account management and client servicing, development of strategy and team execution
