Senior research analyst
Digitalundivided is looking for an experienced and talented senior research analyst to join our teamThe s enior research analyst reports to the director of research, evaluation, and dataThe ideal candidate is inquisitive, detail-oriented, and possesses a flexible work styleThe ideal candidate also has well-rounded experience designing and conducting research, communicating research findings, and is able to foster and maintain good relationships with a diversity of individuals and organizations.
The candidate will have experience with startups, non-profit and/or for profit social-impact focused enterprises, a great understanding of the social impact ecosystem and/or a deep passion for the economic advancement of women of colorThe role is open to qualified candidates of all backgrounds and identities whose values align with digitalundivided’s mission and work.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Lead data collection and research activities related to black and latinx women entrepreneurs in the tech and innovation space, including literature reviews, database research, surveys, and focus groups
Prepare and present research findings in multiple formats, including tables, graphs, slides, and fact sheets that describe techniques and results and contextualize work for multiple audiences
Write summary reports
Manage project logistics
Consult with external partners to serve as a resource, identify and obtain pertinent research, and convene strategy calls to identify gaps and needs
Contribute to the planning, development, and authoring of publications and new research
Other general research support duties as needed (e.gData cleaning, coding, archiving)
Requirements
Master’s degree or ph.dIn a research-based discipline in a relevant technical, social science, or interdisciplinary field (e.gRacial or ethnic studies; women and gender studies; sociology; data science; economics)
Minimum 5 years of progressive research experience, with a particular emphasis on leading research projects from creation to publication
Experience with spss, stata, or another statistical analysis software
Experience with atlas.ti, nvivo, dedoose, or another qualitative data analysis software
Strong communication skills
Strong organizational skills and knowledge of entrepreneurial ecosystems and startups is a plus
Flexible and adaptable style
Ability to work both independently without close oversight
A team player who will productively engage with others at varying levels of seniority within and outside digitalundivided
