General summary:
This qa team lead position will be responsible to lead/manage team members, add testing content, improve our product and continue to produce quality while maintaining our production release sprint schedule.
Major duties & responsibilities
To be the primary point of contact between qa and project management for communicating qa needs and ensure the necessary resources are allocated.
To be able to clearly communicate and provide constructive feedback on issues, risks, and concerns to both the qa and project management team.
The ultimate responsibility would be the quality and depth of test plans for the qa team, which includes creation, reviews, and execution.
Leads from the front and proactively drives the qa team, on a day to day basis, to ensure the expected quality levels are understood, achieved and delivered.
Effectively pursues critical issues with various projects, build quality of relevance and assists with their swift resolution.
Works with project management on the direction and provides feedback with best qa approach.
To be the voice of qa in project meetings and contribute in decision making.
To be able to support, mentor and coach the qa team, leading to reach their full potential.
Ensures a positive, professional and collaborative team environment.
Directly participates with reviewing and hiring of new qa staff as and when required.
Accountable for qa planning, reviews, execution and sign off.
Familiar with api automation testing.
Ability to use postman andor ready-api to execute rest service requests for api testing.
Experience with jira and confluence tools.
Experience working with agile delivery models.
Able to proactively analyze, identify, and communicate problems effectively with excellent written and communication skills.
Excellent at analyzing, researching and communicating defects of a complex nature to software developers.
Comfortable and productive in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to train others using both in-person and long distance methods such as email, phone, or video conferencing.
Ability to rapidly ramp-up on new tools and technologies.
Schedule flexibility
Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory position
Coordinate bug fixes/sprint features with development
Identify and encourage test process automation opportunities
Assist development in issue analysis/debugging, preparing test environment, etc as needed
Knowledge and skills requirements:
Education:
Ba/bs in computer engineering or related field preferred, but not required
High school/ged required
Experience:
Experience leading a team
7+ years software testing experience
Experience with test automation tools
Ability to analyze problems and provide clear recommendations
Strong customer service skills
Experience with jira and zephyr for jira preferred but not required
Experience in working with remote teams
Experience in supporting technology products to the real estate market (preferred but not required)
Detail oriented, with focus on quality
Experience working in agile environment
Strong communication skills
