Job description
Iboss is seeking a senior procurement manager to manage corporate sourcing initiatives for cloud services and maintaining relationships with all vendorsThis role will perform complex data analysis to identify new sourcing & other cost optimization opportunities to generate cost savings for categories managedCategories would include, but not limited to iboss technology spend: software, hardware, internet transit, and datacenter spaceYou are responsible for running competitive programs & communicating to the line of businesses and senior management the value propositions associated with category proposalsFor this role, you will work collaboratively with internal user departments to facilitate, optimize, and execute the purchase and corporate governance of these spend categories within the organization.
Responsibilities
Negotiate favorable contracts and pricing for:
Bandwidth – new and existing providers
Datacenter expansions
Datacenter migration
New pops.
Smart hands services.
Hardware & software.
Negotiate and obtain service credits upon breach of service.
Attend meetings with various vendors.
Escalate issues with senior management.
Hold vendors accountable for delivery timelines.
Proactively analyze technology spend and find ways to reduce cost.
Qualifications
5+ years’ experience in a technology sourcing role.
Proven experience sourcing vendors for ip transit or data center facilities.
Comfort with collaboration, open communications, and reaching across different production teams.
