Who you are*
First and foremost, you’re a writerWe know, that seems redundantBut we’re looking for someone that can write long-form pieces, can blog with the best of them, is a wizard at web copy, and knows a thing or two about social media.
And that’s it, reallyIf you’re a great writer, we want to chat.
But what does it mean to be a great writer?
You can embody different tones and voicesYou know how to research and pull relevant information from disparate sourcesYou are empathic to your audience—you know that without them reading, you’re just a tree falling in the woods with no one around to hearYou have been told you ask too many questionsWe love too many questionsYou know that you don’t know it all, but you can’t wait to learn it all.
What you’ll do:
Deliver strategically sound conceptual thinking and high-quality content across mediums (blogs, case studies, emails, social posts, website).
Edit pieces submitted by others to meet a high narrative bar.
Assist in creating an editorial calendar that aligns with the strategic goals of the marketing team and company as a whole.
Mentor at least one other writer to ensure tone, vision, and direction while helping them quickly grow their career.
Ability to effectively present one’s own ideas and rationale for writing, concepts, creative in an effective and persuasive manner.
Here are the nitty-gritty details:
Five years experience in an agency or corporate marketing position.
A solid portfolio of your work.
Ability to take direction and run with it all while meeting deadlines.
Must have worked in a collaborative environment.
Work in the tech space is a huge bonus.
